David asks…
Junior Golf clubs for a 5″1′ woman?
I’m starting to play golf, (I’m in my mid-thirties) but all the clubs seem very long for me… I wonder if there’s any difference between the “adults” clubs and the “junior” or kids ones as they seem to fit my height much better (the ones designed for 12+) any advise?
I want to get them online and cheap (less than £150) so I’m not really planning on going to a golf store and get them tailor-made or adjusted at the moment (I’ll leave that for next year if I get better…) Help please

golf guide answers:
Your best bet is to go to the golf store and get a set of women’s golf clubs, but since you don’t want to spend that kind of money yet (I understand). Yes, there is a difference in junior/adults and of course it is with height. Stand straight up and let your harms hang down to your side. The “butt” of the club should come up to where your wrist starts for all your irons. Yes, all clubs are shorter than one another, but rule of thumb is use the 5 iron and it should be about where your wrists start. My advice though is I wouldn’t buy them off the internet unless you know all your exact measurements like the lie of your club face, etc. Most golf stores sell used golf sets and they will help you in picking out a set that will help you better. If you play with clubs that don’t fit you right you’ll never get better. It’s prob. Better to stick with women’s clubs. You don’t want to be too hunched over your ball and the junior clubs might be too small for you and cause that problem.

Sandy asks…
Adidas golf shoe size?
I usually wear size 11 or 11.5 in most sneakers like Nike and vans
but these are my first pair of adidas and I do not know what shoe size to get.
I am buying it online and I cannot decide whether to get 11 or 11.5(I am 16 btw).
I mean as a golf shoe should it be more fit?
Both the sizes are 11 medium width and 11.5 medium width.

golf guide answers:
I would go with the 11.5 because even if it’s a little big, it won’t really hurt your game. When you hit the ball, your feel are planted in the ground so it won’t matter. And I remember golf shoes running smaller than regular shoes…I remember a few years ago I bought a pair and they were smaller than I thought they’d be. I should have gone a size up.
You definitely don’t want them too small and your feet hurting all 4 hours you golf, so 11.5 would be the smarter choice.

Maria asks…
What goes on the left hand side, in the boot of the MKIII VW Golf, I have one with some fixings, but what for?
I have just purchased a 2ltr MKIII VW Golf (M reg -’95) and was confused as to what goes in the space in the boot, on the left hand side just under the parcel shelf.
There are some fixings that look original, but I cannot find any details online as to what fits there?
Is it a space for a Jack or Wrench or something?
The car came with a VW tool kit and a small VW Jack which does not fit in this gap, maybe it is not the original Jack??
Any ideas, or info that will put an end to my wonderings will be thankfully received.

golf guide answers:
My car used to have one of these in the boot – it was for a first aid kit. You could also access the central locking unit from this box and the cables that are used for hooking up all your rear signals/lights to an attached trailer. Do you have a tow bar?
