I just found out that the park/golf course land is part of a land swap. Whirlpool is giving back some of its property to the city of Benton Harbor. Sounds like a good deal for the town, huh? But, wait, it’s contaminated soil and ground water. So if Benton Harbor wants to put it to use for any reason, it has to be cleaned up. So much for saving money for the town. P.S.
